West Yorkshire covers Leeds, Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield under one commissioner, with a mix of dense inner-city practices, mill-town practices and genuinely rural sites out towards Wharfedale.
It is one of the more varied footprints in England for a single board, and the clinical systems are mixed too. We work in EMIS, SystmOne and Medicus, so a network here does not have to standardise its software before it can standardise its medicines work.
