Where to meet us
Virtual Pharmacist has exhibited at Best Practice Show for several years, including the Birmingham event, where GP practices, PCNs, ICBs and primary care leaders gather under one roof.
Many practices use these events to draw up a shortlist of clinical pharmacy providers. This page is the standing record of where the team will be, and what is worth asking any provider you meet on the day.
Best Practice Show
Best Practice Show is one of the main events in the UK primary care calendar. It brings together GP practices, Primary Care Networks, Integrated Care Boards, suppliers and primary care leaders, which is why it works as a shortlisting exercise rather than only a day out.
Virtual Pharmacist has exhibited for several years, including at the Birmingham event. If you are attending and want a specific conversation, it is worth arranging it in advance.

Three questions worth asking any provider
Every clinical pharmacy provider at an event like this will describe a similar service. These three questions separate them quickly, and they apply to us as much as anyone else.
Who is accountable
How is the service clinically governed, and who holds that accountability when a clinical question arises?
How work is agreed
How are patient-care workflows agreed with the practice, and who manages them day to day?
What comes back
How are medication reviews recorded, and what reporting returns to the network?
A provider that answers all three concretely, with something you can inspect, is worth shortlisting. Our answers are set out on the clinical governance and data security page, and evidenced in our case studies.
Before you meet anyone
If you are shortlisting, these are the guides most practices and networks find useful beforehand.
Arrange a conversation in advance
Tell us which event you are attending and what you are trying to solve, and we will make sure the right person is free to talk properly.
